2020 Grand Prix Nova goes online.

Now that humankind faces the coronavirus pandemic and we are all isolated, we decided that this year’s edition will be hold online - GPN online. As a result, we needed to make some changes in the regulation.

1. We extend the deadline for registration, which is now May 15th, 2020. A registration is only accepted if the production team designates a delegate commited to participate in the video-chat conference discussions at the end of the festival.

2. Preselection results shall be announced on May 31th, 2020.

3. From June 1st to June 24th all preselected programs will be available on-line. Between June 25th and 28th we will have debates about productions in each category by video conference with all the delegates present. On June 29th, the jury debates and reaches a decision and on the 30th, we will have the online announcement of the prizes.

4. The participants who submitted the registration forms before April 10th, 2020 are invited to confirm via e-mail that they keep their registration under the new conditions of the competition. In the Registration Form, each entrant must designate the author/producer or any other person involved in the production to participate at the video-conference debates (the online video calls will take place on Facebook Messenger so the person designated must have a Facebook account linked with the Grand Prix Nova Facebook account). In case there is no representation, the production will be automatically disqualified.

5. The guests are invited to carefully consult the RULES AD REGULATIONS of the festival.

6. Now, when all budgetary efforts are directed towards controlling the pandemic, we have to cancel the prizes in money for the GPN 2020 edition. We can only reward the winners with diplomas.

Despite all difficulties, we hope that the changes in our festival’s rules will only bring us closer together and will strengthen our professional community. We wish to bring confidence and hope to all our isolated colleagues.
